At a solo exhibition of my “Personalities” series in Minneapolis, a psychiatrist introduced himself and said that he felt that I capture who people really are.​  I find people who push convention to be especially appealing, and my background as a documentary film maker has helped me tremendously with finding subjects and making them feel comfortable.  I especially like to work with entertainers, because they are so good at taking direction.
