Tombstone of Elijah Harosh, Sacrifice

The burial tombstone of a man elevated amongst people, who was taken up as a sacrifice, beloved and precious, the late Elijah Harosh, who was strangled and killed at the hands of those who prey on miners, on the eve of the 1st day of Adar in the year 5623 (1863) from creation. May his soul be bound in the bonds of life, and a Jewish life has departed.
